Mansfield Sand provides a wide
range of sand/organic material blends based on the three
Mansil Sand Grades (M35, M45 and M55) and three
types of organic material (loamy topsoil, peat and green
compost).
The standard range is
based on M45 medium grade sand and loamy topsoil.
However, any combination of materials can be produced to
meet a particular specification.
The range of blend proportions
(expressed as a percentage by volume) is as follows:
90/10, 85/15, 80/20 (USGA grade), 75/25, 70/30, 60/40,
50/50 Full data for any specific blend is available on
request.
Delivery is in the form of bulk tippers
in 10, 16 or 20 tonne net rigid vehicles or 28/29 tonne
articulated lorries. Products are also available in 1
tonne minibulk bags.

Testimonials
“The tailor-made rootzone was
100% compatible with our soil and we are delighted with the
results. The surface knitted together well and the greens
re-established very quickly. The greens had been susceptible
to disease attack, due to large amounts of thatch and
flooding. The new greens are free from stone, debris,
pernicious weed and disease and face up well to the drainage
challenge.”
Darren Anderton, Course
Manager, Abergale Golf Club

"All of our greens were reconstructed in 2004 by J & E
Ely using over 5,000 tonnes of Mansfield USGA sand soil
rootzone. They were turfed with a compatible custom grown
Mansfield rootzone greens turf supplied by Inturf. The
greens have been a revelation since then providing us with a
free draining, consistent putting surface all year round
meaning happy members."

"Our greens were built using Mansfield USGA sand peat
rootzone. Our tees were built using Mansfield 70/30 sand
soil rootzone. Both the greens and tees are excellent and
perform well all year round."
